HOW I GOT STARTED IN THE AUTO REPAIR INDUSTRY
In 1989, at the age of 17, I quit a part-time dishwashing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico to start sweeping floors and doing all the grunt work at a local body shop. On that day, a dream was born. I continued to work hard to keep my bosses happy and eventually worked my way up the ladder. Over several years, I have worked at many different shops in and around Albuquerque, learning as much as I could and developing my passion for working on cars.
Never really feeling at home in the desert, I moved back to my roots in Wisconsin and entered a technical school program to further hone my skills and increase my chances of finding a job. While in school, I was hired as a body man at an auto repair shop in Chippewa Falls and soaked up as much as I could from their seasoned technicians. I continued to put myself in the best situations possible to learn as much as I could, with the ultimate goal of owning my own body shop.
In 2004, after meeting him at an airbrushing clinic, I left a good job at an established local shop to take a new position as a painter at Aerco 1 Collision with the previous owner. I continued to work hard, taking every opportunity I could to learn about the auto repair business and each position in the shop and eventually, the front office. Over time, I was promoted to Estimator/Production Manager, and finally shop General Manager, assisting the owner with major business decisions. When the opportunity came up to buy Aerco 1 Collision in 2015, my wife and I jumped at it. My dream of owning my own shop was finally fulfilled!
Along with the goal to provide the highest quality repairs and outstanding customer service with the utmost honesty and integrity to each and every customer, I also strive to provide the same types of opportunities to my employees that were given to me by so many supervisors over the years. The business is only as strong as the people that work here, and my commitment to each and every one of them shines through in the service we provide to everyone that walks through our door. We believe in going above and beyond to deliver an unexpected experience, with the highest quality people, equipment, and products. We believe in honesty and integrity and giving our customers the best value for their money while also returning their vehicles back to safe, original condition for their families.
My wife Holli, and my daughter Dani and I feel incredibly blessed to be in this position and welcome you with open arms. We know that none of this is possible without all the support from our family, friends, and most of all the Good Lord above!
We hope to see you soon.
